Smarter Lids LLC
While in college at the University of Arizona, I partnered with an experienced professional computer engineer to build a unique hardware/software solution. We conceptualized a connected "Smart Lid" device as a solution to enabling consumers to easily track their consumption of food and cannabis that they store in the common Mason Jars. We further patented this technology and reached out to fitness supplement companies to attempt an integration in nutrient powder containers.
My Role

Smarter Lids LLC
June 2015 - Aug. 2016
Co-Founder and Principal Product Designer
I conducted research through a lean startup methodology to refine the solution. I wrote the provisional and non-provisional patents, which led to a published US Patent. I worked with my partner to facilitate the development of a functional prototype.
Hardware and Software
After patenting the underlying technology, we focused on two main integrations of the "Smart Lid." These were 1) The Mason Jar, and 2) Fitness Supplement Containers.

I focused on end-to-end design and development of both the software and hardware. My partner did the computer coding for the beta software.
